From Prototype Design……… To Production!

Precision Machining EXPRESS MANUFACTURING’S experienced Machinists can work with virtually any machinable material, including plastics. The precise capacity of our machining capability is in our List of Machinery. However, a good gauge of our capacity is that we can efficiently machine any part that can fit inside a basketball. Our CNC equipment can provide production runs from 10 parts to 10,000. We have machined parts ranging in use from surgical equipment to IRL racecars.

Precision EDM

We have CNC wire and CNC sinker/plunge EDM machines plus highly skilled Technicians to run them. Our CNC wire EDM can handle up to 8” thickness and both ends of the wire can be independently articulated. Our CNC sinker/plunge EDM has a rotary head that can plunge a wide variety of cavity forms including threaded forms. This capability reduces our dependence on outside resources and gives us more control of our workflow.

Precision Grinding

Our new CNC Jones and Shipman ID/OD grinder has both small job and production capabilities plus factory trained Technicians to operate it. It can handle parts up to 12” diameter by 26” length. We also have several surface grinders of varying bed dimensions. Like our EDM capability, this reduces our dependence on outside resources and gives us more control of our workflow.

Fixtures

We have broad experience in the design, machining and building of high precision fixtures, gauges, clamps, jaws and other work holding devices. We can work from prints or offer solutions and develop concepts for Customer approval. Our broad range of capabilities minimizes outsourcing and gives us more control of delivery times.
